Investigators are appealing for witnesses after a man died following a collision on the A299, Thanet Way in Herne Bay.
At around 9.30am on Friday 16 February 2024, a collision occurred on the coastbound carriageway near to the Margate Road Interchange, involving a grey Nissan Qashqai, a beige Land Rover Defender and a Fiat Ducato ambulance, which was travelling with lights and sirens activated.
Officers attended and emergency crews treated people for injuries.
A patient in the ambulance, a man in his 80s who had sustained injuries, was taken to a local hospital, where he later died.
Kent Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) is carrying out enquiries and officers are appealing to anyone who saw what happened, or has relevant dashcam footage, to come forward.
