Appeal following dog theft near Sevenoaks

Witnesses, CCTV and dashcam footage are sought following a reported dog theft near Sevenoaks.

Kent Police received a report that between 10.15pm and 11.30pm on Monday 31 August 2026 a group of people forced entry to farmland in Rye Lane, Dunton Green.

It is alleged the suspects broke into a kennel and stole a beige lurcher before leaving the scene in a silver car.

An investigation is underway and police are not ruling out the possibility that this theft may be linked to other similar incidents in the Sevenoaks area.

Local residents with private CCTV or drivers with dashcam, who may have been in the area at the time of the incident, are also asked to check for footage.
