Appeal following fatal collision near Wingham

Witnesses are sought following a fatal road collision near Wingham, east Kent.

At 8.30am on Tuesday 4 March 2025, a Yamaha motorcycle was involved in a collision with a grey Lexus car on the A257 at Shatterling, between Wingham and Ash.

Emergency services attended and the rider of the motorcycle, a man in his 30s, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The road was closed while officers responded to the incident and reopened shortly after 4pm.
