Officers investigating a report of inappropriate behaviour at a bar in Sittingbourne are appealing for information.
Kent Police was called to an incident at The Vineyard on West Street shortly after 1am on Saturday 23 August 2025. It is reported that a woman was touched over her clothing by a man who was subsequently asked to leave the premises.
A disturbance broke out and it is alleged that two staff members were assaulted. Serious injuries were not reported.
Officers attended and enquiries at the scene were completed. A 28 year old man from the local area was arrested on suspicion of assault and sexual assault, and was bailed pending further enquiries.
An investigation is ongoing and police are keen to hear from those who were in the premises on the evening in question, who may have important information to assist them.
