Officers have released an image of a man they would like to speak to who may be able help their enquiries following a report of racial abuse in Canterbury.
The victim reported that she was in a supermarket car park in Sturry Road when she was approached by an unknown man, who became verbally abusive towards her before spitting at her.
He then left the area.
Investigating officer PC Dan Mills said: ‘We have been carrying out a number of enquiries since the incident was reported to us and have recently been given the image. Even though the man’s face is obscured we are hopeful someone may recognise him from his distinctive clothing.’
The incident occurred at 4.40pm on Monday 24 April 2023 and was reported to Kent Police on 8 May 2023.
