Officers are appealing for witnesses after an alleged serious assault in Herne Bay that left a man with facial injuries.
Kent Police was called at around 3.30am on Sunday 3 March 2024 following a report of a disturbance involving a group of people in the High Street.
A man was reported to have sustained a serious assault, while a woman had also been assaulted.
Officers attended, along with South East Coast Ambulance Service, who treated the man and woman for injuries.
The man was taken to a local hospital where he remains receiving treatment. The woman attended the same hospital and has since been discharged.
An investigation is ongoing and officers are urging anyone with information about the incident, including CCTV footage, to come forward.
It is alleged that a white Vauxhall Vivaro van was seen in the area at around the time of the assault and anyone travelling in the vehicle may have information which could assist enquiries.
