Appeal following serious collision in Broadstairs

Officers are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a collision in Broadstairs.
The incident happened on Westwood Road, Broadstairs, at around 8pm on Wednesday 18 March 2026.
It is reported that a blue BMW collided with a lamp, before swerving into parked cars and crashing into the wall of a residential property.
No injuries were reported at the scene. It is reported a man left the vehicle and fled on foot, before officers had attended the scene. He remains outstanding.
Officers investigating the incident are urging any witnesses, including those who saw either vehicle prior to the collision, and anyone with dashcam footage, to come forward.
