Investigators are continuing to appeal for witnesses following a serious collision in Hythe.
Kent Police was called to Prospect Road shortly before 3pm on Wednesday 1 October 2025. It is reported that a bus, travelling east between Sun Lane and Douglas Avenue, was involved in a collision with a pedestrian.
Officers attended along with South East Coast Ambulance Service. The pedestrian, a woman in her 80s, was airlifted to a London hospital, where she later sadly died from her injuries on Wednesday 15 October.
Detectives from Kent Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit are continuing to carry out enquiries. Anyone with relevant information, including CCTV and dashcam, is urged to come forward.
Officers are particularly keen to speak to any passengers on the bus that may have left before police arrived at the scene.
Anyone who saw the incident, or the vehicle prior to it, should call 01622 798538 or email [email protected], quoting reference EW/DH/067/25.
