Witnesses and dashcam footage are sought to a serious collision on the A2 near Gravesend.
At 5.21am on Sunday 23 November 2025, a white Mercedes A45 AMG was travelling along the A2 Watling Street coastbound when it was involved in a collision with a black BMW 1 series.
Both cars subsequently collided with a white Volvo HGV.
Officers attended the scene alongside Kent Fire and Rescue Service and South East Coast Ambulance Service, where the driver of the BMW was taken to a London hospital. The 27 year old man remains there in a critical condition and his next of kin are aware.
A man in his 20s was taken to hospital and was later arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and drink driving . He has since been bailed from custody pending further enquiries.
An investigation by Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit is underway. Anyone who saw the incident, or any of the vehicles prior to it, is urged to contact police.
