Appeal following serious collision near Laddingford

Investigators are appealing for information following a serious collision near Laddingford.

Between 6.15am and 6.25am on Saturday 14 January 2023, a grey Renault Kangoo van travelling in Claygate Road was involved in a collision with a woman who was walking two dogs.

The woman was treated for injuries at the scene and then taken to a London hospital, where she remains in a serious but stable condition.

Arrest

The driver, a man in his 30s from the Staplehurst area, was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and later bailed to return to the police station on 3 April.

Officers are investigating the circumstances and are appealing to anyone who saw what happened, or has relevant dashcam or CCTV footage, to come forward.
