Appeal following serious collision on the A2 near Dartford

Witnesses and dashcam footage are sought following a serious three vehicle collision involving two motorcycles on the A2 coastbound near Dartford.

Kent Police was called at 4.50pm on Friday 13 June to the incident, which occurred between junction two of the M25, Dartford Heath, and Old Bexley Lane, Dartford.

It was reported that a black Triumph motorcycle and an orange KTM 360 motorcycle collided resulting in a subsequent collision with a green Mini Cooper.

Officers attended the scene alongside South East Coast Ambulance Service where one motorcyclist, a man in his 50s, was taken to a London hospital. He remains there in a serious condition.

The other rider, a man in his 30s, was taken to a local hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

Both riders' next of kin have been made aware.

Appeal

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.

Detectives are also keen to hear from anyone who may have seen the two motorcycles prior to the collision.
