Investigators are appealing for information following a serious collision near Pembury.
At around 7am on Sunday 7 January 2024, a black BMW 3 Series was travelling along the A228 towards Colts Hill when it was involved in a collision with a blue Ford EcoSport coming in the opposite direction. The incident happened between the junctions with Redwings Lane and Maidstone Road.
The driver of the Ford, a woman in her 50s, was treated for injuries at the scene and then taken to a London hospital where she remains in a serious condition.
The other driver was taken to a local hospital where he was treated for minor injuries. He has since been arrested in connection with the collision.
Officers are carrying out enquiries and appealing to anyone who saw what happened, or has relevant dashcam or CCTV footage, to come forward.
They would particularly like to speak to the driver of a van who stopped at the scene after the collision and may have information that could assist the investigation.
Anyone with information should call Kent Police on 01622 604100, quoting reference 7-0225.
Drivers with dashcam and residents with CCTV that may assist can upload the footage here.
