Police are appealing to recover a backpack stolen from a car in Whitstable, which is believed to contain a man's ashes.
Kent Police was contacted on Wednesday 10 July 2024 following a report that a car had been broken into in Sea Street overnight between Tuesday 9 July and the following day.
Cash, sunglasses, keys and a backpack were stolen. The backpack, which is described as orange and turquoise, is reported to contain a tube with a woodland scene on it, which contains a man's ashes.
Anyone with information, or who has seen the backpack or the tube, is urged to call Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting reference 46/114624/24.
