Detectives are appealing for witnesses following an arrest in connection with a sexual assault in Broadstairs.
It was reported that a teenage girl was approached by a man who touched her leg while she was paddling in the sea at Viking Bay, near The Parade. The girl moved away and the incident was then reported to lifeguards.
It was reported to have taken place at around 2.30pm on Saturday 10 August 2024.
Officers attended and arrested a 33-year-old man from London. He has since been released on bail with conditions, pending further enquiries.
As part of their investigation, officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone who saw anything suspicious to come forward.
