Arrests following serious assault in Dartford

Two men have been arrested after a man was assaulted in Dartford.

Kent Police was called at around 9pm on Saturday 1 August 2026 to reports of a disturbance at the Horse & Groom pub on Leyton Cross Road.

The victim reported being struck over the head with an unknown object and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. He has since been discharged.

Arrests

Officers spoke to a number of people at the scene and two men were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.

A 25 year old man and a 24 year old man, both from Longfield, have been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
