Officers investigating a report of an assault in Maidstone are appealing for witnesses.
The incident happened in Whatman Park at around 7am on Thursday 20 October 2022.
A man in his 40s was walking across a footbridge that runs from Kerry Hill Way into the park, when he was pushed from behind and struck his head on a railing.
The victim suffered a cut to his head and later went to hospital for treatment to the injury.
Investigating officer, Police Sergeant Callum Tuckett, said: ‘This was an unprovoked assault and we have been completing enquiries to identify those responsible.
‘While the victim did not see his assailant, it is understood there were several people in the area at the time of the incident who may be able to assist our enquiries.’
