Assault near Aylesford train station

Witnesses are sought by officers investigating a serious assault close to Aylesford train station.
It is alleged a man was repeatedly kicked and punched during an incident which police believe may have been seen by a number of bystanders.
The assault took place from around 8.10am on Monday 15 March 2021, at a location in Station Road.
Officers attended and the victim, who is believed to be known to the suspects, was taken to a local hospital with multiple injuries.
Detective Sergeant Joe Stas of the West Kent Vulnerability Investigation Team said: ‘This was a prolonged and violent assault which may have been seen by a number of people, including pupils on their way to school. 'We are appealing to any witnesses, who may have important information and possibly footage on their phones, to contact us. 'We are also asking drivers to check their dashcams for any footage which may assist the investigation. It is reported the suspects travelled to the scene in a grey BMW X3 and a silver Ford Mondeo.’

A 38-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman have been arrested in connection with the assault.
Both are currently bailed pending further enquiries until 12 April.
