Witnesses are sought following an attempted robbery at a shop in Paddock Wood.
It is reported that between 8.30am and 9.30am on Tuesday 5 December 2023, a man entered a dry-cleaning business in Commercial Road and made demands to be given a cash till.
The man fled empty handed after a customer entered the store.
The suspect was white, of medium build, and had black, wavy hair. He was believed to be aged between his late 20s and early 30s and was wearing dark-coloured trousers and carrying a dark backpack.
Detective Constable Chris Welham said: ‘The suspect ran in the direction of the train station after he was disturbed by a customer. We are urging this customer to contact us, along with anyone else with information that may assist the investigation. 'This includes people in shops and homes with private CCTV. Drivers who were in this area are also asked to check any dashcam footage.’
