CCTV appeal following assault in Chatham

A CCTV image has been released by officers investigating an assault at a supermarket in Chatham.
The victim, a man in his 40s reported that on Saturday 27 June 2026 at about 10am, he was grabbed by the neck by an unknown man whilst in Sainsbury’s in Watling Street. The suspect is then alleged to have tried to drag the victim out of the store before leaving.
Officers are continuing to carry out enquiries into the incident and can now release a CCTV image of a man who may have important information.
