CCTV appeal following indecent acts in Gravesend

A CCTV image has been released by officers investigating two indecent acts in coffee shops in Gravesend.

It was reported that a girl was approached by a man in a Costa Coffee on the corner of the High Street at around 12.50pm on Tuesday 27 May 2025. The man’s behaviour aroused suspicion and the girl left after friends arrived to meet her. The man is suspected of committing an indecent act in the same location.

A further report was received that a man exposed himself whilst in Coffee Republic on New Road at around 1.30pm that day.

Officers attended and initial enquiries into both incidents were completed, including speaking to witnesses and reviewing CCTV.

Investigators are treating the two reports as linked and are now able to release an image of a man they wish to speak to, since he may have important information.

Anyone who recognises the man is urged to come forward.
