A CCTV image of a man has been released by officers investigating a serious assault in Rochester.
The incident happened in Rochester High Street at the junction of Blue Boar Lane between 9.55pm and 10.10pm on Saturday 3 August 2024.
During the assault a man is reported to have used derogatory and homophobic language towards a man not known to him before he punched the victim in his face, resulting in the victim sustaining a fractured jaw which required surgery.
Following the incident officers have carried out several lines of enquiry including reviewing CCTV, and they are now in a position to release an image of a man who they believe can assist their investigation.
If anyone recognises the man they should call the dedicated appeal line for Kent Police on 01634 792209, quoting reference 46/130528/24.
