Officers investigating the theft of mopeds and cycles in the Tonbridge area have released a CCTV image of a person they wish to identify.
The appeal follows the arrest of two suspects after a reported attempt to steal a moped in a town centre car park.
Patrols saw two teenagers acting suspiciously in Vale Road on Monday 21 August 2023, and they were detained following a short foot chase. A moped that had allegedly been targeted was later returned to its owner.
The boys, aged 17 and 16, were conditionally bailed pending further investigation.
PC Oliver Evans, of the Tonbridge Community Safety Unit, said: ‘We regularly patrol locations that have been targeted by criminals and, as part of our ongoing work to tackle vehicle theft, are releasing an image of a person who may be able to assist with our enquiries.
‘I am urging anybody who recognises him to contact our appeal line.’
