CCTV images have been released by officers following multiple reports fuel has been stolen across Kent.
The incidents happened at three petrol stations in Tenterden, Paddock Wood and Tonbridge between 18 October and 2 December 2025.
It is alleged a man driving a red Citroen Picasso, displaying suspected stolen number plates, filled the vehicle with fuel before driving away without making any attempt to pay.
Investigators have been completing enquiries and are now able to release an image of a man who may be able to assist in their enquiries.
They've also issued an image of a car that is thought to have been linked to the incidents.
