CCTV images of a man have been released by officers investigating a distraction theft in Ashford.
Between midday and 12.30pm on Tuesday 9 August 2022 a woman in her 60s was using the cash machine at Tesco in Park Farm, when the theft happened.
A man approached and told her the machine was not working, claiming she had to press certain buttons to rectify the issue. During the incident, it is believed the woman’s card was stolen.
A short time later the victim found withdrawals had been made from her bank account via another cash machine in the town.
Investigating officers have released images of a man they would like to identify as he may have information which could assist enquiries.
