A fire in Canterbury is being treated as suspicious and witnesses and dashcam footage are being sought by detectives.
Kent Police was called at 2.16pm on Saturday 14 February to a report of a fire at a derelict building in St George’s Place, Canterbury.
Officers attended to assist with road closures and the temporary evacuation of local residents while crews from Kent Fire and Rescue Service extinguished the fire.
Two 14-year-old boys, and a 15-year-old boy, have been arrested on suspicion of arson and have been bailed whilst enquiries continue. An investigation is ongoing and the cause is being treated as suspicious.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or might have relevant dashcam footage from the area, particularly from 1pm to 2.15pm on Saturday 14 February, is urged to call Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting 46/25824/26. Footage can also be directly uploaded via this public portal.
