Kent Police has introduced a 48-hour dispersal order in Gravesend following a disturbance during which two teenagers were injured.
Detectives are also appealing for witnesses or anyone with video footage to come forward.
Just before 9pm on Friday 23 June 2023 officers were called to a fight in Gordon Promenade involving a large group of young people. The crowd had dispersed when patrols arrived at the scene and two teenage boys were located with injuries to their arms. Enquiries remain ongoing into the circumstances.
Investigators are speaking with witnesses and reviewing all available CCTV. They are also urging anyone who hasn’t been in touch yet to contact Kent Police and provide any information or video footage that could be helpful in the investigation.
Anyone with details should call 01474 366149 quoting reference 23-1801. You can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 or by completing the online form on their website.
Following this incident, a dispersal order has been put in place, which gives police additional powers to move on anyone causing a nuisance and, if necessary, to arrest those who return to the area once dispersed.
The dispersal order runs until 11pm on Sunday 25 June 2023 and includes Milton Place, Ordnance Road, Canal Road and Canal Basin which all encompass Gravesend Promenade.
