Witnesses and dashcam footage are sought by officers investigating a fatal collision in Gillingham.
The incident happened on the A2 London Road between the junctions with Pump Lane and Bloors Lane, at around 11.45am on Tuesday 4 March 2025.
A silver Audi A6 was being driven towards Rainham when it was involved in a collision with a silver Vauxhall Astra travelling in the opposite direction. The Audi and Vauxhall then collided with separate, parked, white Ford Transit vans.
Patrols and South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene. A passenger in the Vauxhall, who was in his 80s, suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital, where he died on Saturday 8 March. The Audi driver also received medical attention at hospital.
An investigation into the circumstances is underway. Anyone who saw what happened or who may have dashcam footage, should contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit.
