Officers investigating a fatal collision in Westgate-on-Sea are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
The incident happened on the A28 Canterbury Road at its junction with St Mildreds Road, on Saturday 25 January 2025.
At 5.06pm, a blue Ford Fiesta was travelling towards Margate, when it was involved in a collision with two women who were walking across the carriageway, at a traffic light controlled pedestrian crossing.
Officers attended the scene along with South East Coast Ambulance Service. One of the pedestrians, who was in her 70s, was confirmed to be deceased at the scene.
The second woman was treated for injuries and was then taken to hospital, where she remains in a serious but stable condition.
Serious collision investigators are appealing to any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police to come forward.
