Witnesses and dashcam footage are sought following a fatal collision in Sellindge.
Kent Police was called to the A20, Barrow Hill, at about 8.40pm on Sunday 5 July 2026 following reports a car had collided with a tree, near to the junction of Meadow Grove.
The driver of the yellow Mini Cooper, a 44 year old woman, was airlifted to a London hospital where she remains in a life-threatening condition.
The passenger, a 46 year old woman was declared deceased at the scene. Her next of kin has been informed.
Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for anyone who may have seen the collision or the moments leading up to it to get in touch.
