Fatal collision on M20 near Aylesford

Investigators are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a fatal collision on the M20 at Aylesford.

Kent Police was called at 3.19am on Saturday 22 August 2026, to the incident on the coastbound carriageway between junctions 4 and 5.

A teenage girl who was on the carriageway in the vicinity of a footbridge near Teapot Lane, was struck by vehicles including a Ford Transit van and a Vauxhall Corsa.

Patrols attended the scene and the girl was confirmed to be deceased. Her next of kin have been informed.

Appeal 

Officers are appealing to anyone who passed through this location between 3.15am and 3.28am, and witnessed a pedestrian in the carriageway, to contact them.

Motorists with dashcam are also asked to check for footage that may assist the investigation.
