Fatal collision on M20 near Swanley

Officers are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a fatal collision on the M20, near Swanley.

At around 6.15am on Wednesday 16 October 2024, a dark blue Smart car was travelling in a coastbound direction near Junction 1 of the M20, when it was involved in a collision with a blue Vauxhall Mokka on the same carriageway.

The Smart car was then involved in a further collision with a BMW 5-Series estate on the slip road from the M25, where it joins the M20.

Patrols and South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene where the driver of the Smart car, a man in his 20s, was confirmed deceased. His next of kin have been informed.
