Five men have been arrested following a serious assault on the Isle of Sheppey.
The incident happened at the junction of Minster Road and Sunnyside Avenue, Minster-on-Sea, shortly before 11.50pm on Friday 20 December 2024.
Kent Police was notified that the victim in his 20s had been found unconscious after he and two friends had been involved in an altercation with another group of men, who are reported to have been armed with baseball bats.
He was taken to a London hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
The arrested men, who are aged between 18 and 42 and from the local area, have since been released on bail pending further investigation.
Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and officers are keen to hear from any witnesses who have not already come forward, including anyone who may have dashcam or doorbell footage of the incident.
They would also like to speak to anyone who saw an earlier confrontation between the two groups of men inside The Highlander pub in High Street, Minster, at some point between 9.30pm and 11.30pm.
