A stables in Herne Bay has been targeted by thieves after a large amount of horse tack was reportedly stolen overnight on Saturday 24 October 2020.
Electric fencing around the property near Broomfield Road was compromised and the tack was stolen.
Inspector Guy Thompson at Kent Police said:
‘We would urge anyone who is offered second-hand equestrian items to be mindful that they may be stolen and to contact police if you have concerns.
'Horse tack can include things like saddles, stirrups, reins and harnesses. All horse owners should be vigilant and review their security set up to ensure they are taking all measures available to them. Where possible install CCTV and join the local Horse Watch Scheme.’
