Information is sought in relation to a reported assault on a bus passenger in Dover.
It was reported that shortly after 8.40am on Saturday 2 November 2024, a man got on a bus which had stopped in Folkestone Road, and attempted to assault another man who was a passenger. When the bus driver intervened, he was also assaulted.
The offender reportedly then caused a disturbance in the area, approaching people in other vehicles. A man on a motorcycle is believed to have been assaulted.
Officers were called to the scene, where a 45 year old man from Dover was arrested on suspicion of assault, criminal damage and possession of class B drugs. He has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
Investigating officers have reviewed CCTV footage and believe some victims and witnesses have yet to come forward. Anyone who might be able to assist enquiries, should contact Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting 46/186017/24.
