Investigators are appealing for an important witness to come forward following a reported assault in Medway.
The incident happened in Brompton High Street at around 7am on Friday 20 December 2024.
The victim, a man in his 30s, was walking his two dogs when he became involved in an altercation with two other men who were in a stationary white Mercedes Sprinter van.
It is alleged the victim was verbally abused and then assaulted before the van drove from the scene. He later attended hospital for treatment to a facial cut and fractured arm.
PC Jessica Edwards said:
‘Our investigators have completed a number of enquiries, including the examination of CCTV footage, and have traced a suspect who has been interviewed under caution.
‘We are now appealing to any witnesses who have not yet spoken to the police to contact us. We would particularly like to speak to a woman with a brown and white dog who sought to intervene during the incident.’
