Officers investigating a fatal collision at Chestfield near Whitstable are seeking to identify a motorist who may have important information.
At 8.35pm on Thursday 16 October 2025, a silver Renault panel van was travelling along the A2990 Thanet Way towards Whitstable, when it was involved in a collision with a blue Skoda Octavia being driven in the opposite direction.
Emergency services attended the scene where the driver of the Skoda, a man in his 50s, was confirmed deceased at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.
The driver of the van was taken to a local hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
Officers from Kent Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit have been completing enquiries into the incident.
They have established the driver of a car or small van was in the immediate area of the incident, travelling towards Whitstable at the time. It is thought they may be able to assist with important information.
