Officers investigating a serious assault in Sittingbourne have arrested a man and are appealing for witnesses.
Kent Police was called at around 9.55pm on Thursday 18 August 2022 to a report that a man had suffered an injury consistent with a stab wound.
The victim, who is in his 50s, is reported to have been assaulted by someone known to him during a disturbance inside a residential address in Romney Court.
Following the incident he returned to his home in the Milton Regis area before an ambulance was called. He was later airlifted to a London hospital where he remains in a serious condition.
Officers carried out enquiries to locate the suspect and at around 8.20am on Friday 19 August arrested a 28-year-old man who remains in custody.
Detective Inspector Peter Smith said:
