An investigation is underway after two people reported being assaulted whilst walking in Whitstable High Street.
The incident took place just after midnight on the morning of Saturday 14 May 2022.
A man and a woman in their 20s were involved in a verbal exchange with an unknown woman before continuing to walk along the road.
A few moments later, a vehicle, thought to be a black Land Rover Freelander, stopped and four men got out. It is at this point that the man and woman were assaulted.
The woman sustained minor injuries and the man was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries to his face.
Officers are carrying out enquiries in the area and reviewing all CCTV available.
