A suspect has been arrested and a murder investigation launched after a victim was fatally injured in Ramsgate.
Kent Police was called to reports of a man with a knife near the harbour area at around 4.47am on Sunday 23 August 2026.
Officers attended the scene, where two men, one in Harbour Street and one in Harbour Parade, had suffered injuries consistent with stab wounds.
They were taken to a local hospital for medical attention where one of the victims, a 52 year old man who was in Harbour Street, was later pronounced deceased. His next of kin has been informed.
The second victim, a 48 year old man, has since been released from hospital.
A 21 year old local British man was arrested shortly after the incident and was taken into custody where he remains. Officers are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
Enquiries into the circumstances continue and additional patrols are present in the area.
