Investigators are appealing for dashcam and CCTV footage after a pensioner was robbed and his vehicle stolen in Gravesend.
The incident happened as the victim was driving his red Citroen Synergie in Walnut Hill Road, near Instead Rise at 7.05am on Wednesday 21 May 2025.
He stopped the vehicle to get out and move a log that was blocking the carriageway, when it is reported he was assaulted by four men.
The victim, who is in his 80s, suffered a facial cut and bruising and some of the assailants are alleged to have left the scene in his Citroen. The vehicle was later recovered after it had been left in Downs Road.
One of the suspects, who was wearing black clothing and carrying a black rucksack, departed on a red cycle and rode towards New Barn via Nurstead Lane and Main Road.
Officers are appealing to motorists with dashcam and residents with CCTV who may have footage that shows this cyclist between 7am and 7.30am.
Witnesses and anyone with information is urged to contact the appeal line on 01474 366149, quoting reference 46/84946/25.
