Investigators are continuing to appeal for witnesses and dashcam footage following a now fatal collision in Canterbury.
Kent Police was called at 5.45pm on Monday 23 February 2026 to Sturry Road, where a collision took place involving a white Vauxhall Viva and a pedestrian, near to Kingsmead Road.
Officers attended along with South East Coast Ambulance Service and the pedestrian, a man in his 90s, was taken to a local hospital having sustained multiple injuries. He sadly died from his injuries on Tuesday 24 March.
The driver of the car, a 73 year old man, was arrested in connection with the incident and remains on bail whilst enquiries continue.
Officers are urging anyone who saw the collision, or the vehicle or pedestrian prior to it, to come forward.
