Officers are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault in Maidstone.
The incident happened at around 6.30pm on Tuesday 13 June 2023, in a riverside area close to Bishops Way and the Archbishop’s Palace.
Patrols and paramedics were called to the location after a man in his 50s suffered head and arm injuries.
The victim was taken to hospital for further medical attention. It is alleged he had been punched and fell to the floor.
A suspect was arrested later the same day and taken into custody.
Investigating officer, PC Lucy Basson said: ‘It is understood there were several people in the area at the time of the incident, some of whom may have phone footage that may assist our investigation. 'We are appealing to witnesses or anyone with information to contact us.’

On Wednesday 14 June, James Packham, of Pudding Lane, Maidstone was charged with wounding.
Mr Packham, aged 25, appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court where he was bailed to a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on 15 July.
