Investigators are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault on a woman in Gillingham.
The incident happened as the victim was walking along the footpath in Seaview Road, at 7.10pm on Wednesday 23 April 2025.
The woman, who is in her 30s, reports a man she did not know pulled her into an alleyway and repeatedly punched and kicked her.
The suspect, who is described as wearing dark clothing and light coloured trainers, left the scene and the victim later attended hospital for treatment to facial and leg injuries.
An investigation is ongoing and officers are continuing to complete enquiries and patrols in the area.
Detective Sergeant Richard Taylor said:
‘We are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or saw a man acting suspiciously in the area to contact us. Our investigators are also asking motorists with dashcam and residents with CCTV to check for any relevant footage, particularly between 7pm and 7.30pm.'
