Investigators are appealing for witnesses to a serious collision at Bethersden near Ashford.
Kent Police was called to the incident on the A28 Ashford Road, between the junctions for Kiln Lane and Bethersden Road, at 9.41pm on Thursday 13 August 2026.
A blue BMW 218I Sport was being driven towards Bethersden when it was involved in a collision with a yellow JCB lift truck travelling in the opposite direction.
Officers attended the scene alongside South East Coast Ambulance Service and Kent Fire and Rescue Service.
The driver of the BMW, a man in his 30s, was airlifted to a London hospital where he remains in a critical condition. His next of kin is aware.
An investigation is underway and officers are urging witnesses, or anybody who saw either vehicle before the collision, to contact the appeal line.
