A CCTV image has been issued by officers investigating a report of a theft in Edenbridge.
The incident happened at around 4.30pm on Tuesday 5 September 2023, at a shop in Fircroft Way.
The victim was reaching for an item on a lower shelf and, while she was distracted, her purse was stolen.
An investigation is underway to recover the purse which contained bank cards and also an item of particular sentimental value to the victim.
Officers are now able to release a CCTV image of a man who may be able to assist with their enquiries.
