Detectives investigating the violent robbery of a woman in Maidstone are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
A man was arrested and charged in connection with the alleged incident, which happened on Sunday 4 August 2024, and officers are continuing to gather important information and evidence.
It is reported that between 11pm and 11.30pm, a bag was stolen after the woman was followed and assaulted, in an area between Knightrider Street and the Millennium Bridge.
The victim suffered injuries including cuts, grazes and a head wound and required hospital treatment.
DC Josh Littley said: ‘This happened in an area which was in the vicinity of All Saints Church and Maidstone Baptist Church. We are urging anyone who was in or near this location, and who may have heard or seen anything suspicious to contact us.’

Jordan MacDonald, 27, of Regency Place, Maidstone is currently remanded in custody. He is charged with robbery, theft and assault by beating and will appear at Maidstone Crown Court on 2 September.
