Witness appeal following assault at Canterbury nightclub

Witnesses are sought by officers investigating a reported assault at a Canterbury nightclub.

The incident took place at around 2.30am on Sunday 6 September 2026 at Club Chemistry on Station Road East.

It is alleged that a man in his late teens was assaulted following a verbal altercation. He was reportedly struck with a bottle inside the club. He attended a local hospital for treatment to facial injuries and has since been discharged.

Following enquiries, two men aged 19 and 23 were arrested in connection with the incident. They have been released on bail whilst enquiries continue.

The investigation is ongoing and any witnesses to the incident, who have not yet spoken to police, are urged to come forward.
