Detectives are appealing for witnesses to an assault in Herne Bay.
Shortly before 7.30pm on Wednesday 13 April 2022, a man in his 30s was involved in a verbal altercation with another man in Mortimer Street. He was then assaulted, sustaining a minor injury.
Police attended the scene and a 60-year-old man from Herne Bay was arrested in connection with the assault. He was released pending further enquiries.
Officers would like to speak to anyone who saw or heard anything during the assault. In particular they are keen to trace a man and a woman who were believed to be in the area at the time and may have witnessed the attack.
