Fatal collision on the A2 near Rochester

Officers are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a fatal collision on the A2 near Rochester.

At 2.30am on Thursday 26 September 2024, a black VW Tiguan was travelling on the coastbound carriageway near the slip road for the A289 towards Wainscott. It collided with the central barrier and a bridge parapet.

Patrols and South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene where the driver, a 29-year-old man, was confirmed deceased. His next of kin have been informed.
