Witnesses are sought following a serious collision involving a child in Gillingham.
At around 4.12pm on Friday 3 July 2026 a black Range Rover was involved in a collision with a young pedestrian on Nelson Road.
The 4 year old boy was reported to have been crossing the road prior to the collision.
Officers and paramedics attended the scene and the child was taken to a London hospital for treatment to serious injuries. He remains in hospital at this time.
The road was closed while an investigation was completed and officers from Kent Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) is now appealing to anyone who saw what happened, or has relevant dashcam footage, to come forward.
